Frequently Asked Questions--and answers
How long is each piece, or how long do I have to wait for mine to be finished?
The turnaround time for pet toons is 2-3 weeks. Digital Paintings are 2-4 weeks. If needing for a birthday or different even I can rush it for an additional fee.
What Paper do you use for your traditional art?
For marker work or graphite I use 2-ply Bristol in 11x14 size. Found here. For soft pastel work, I use 11x14 Strathmore pastel pad. Found here.
What other tools/supplies do you use?
For my digital work I use a Wacom Intuos4 (now called Intuos Pro) in size Medium and Clip Studio Paint EX, which is a drawing program. For traditional tools are Prismacolor Premier colored pencils, Bristol pad, Sakura Ink, Brush Pen, Stabilo and Gioconda soft pastels.
Do you draw people as well as pets?
Yes. Some examples can be found in my gallery.
I want you to draw my pet in this style, can you do that?
No. I have a certain style and if you commission me, you'll be getting that style. If you want the style of another artist then I suggest you go to them instead.
Can you draw my pet for free? What about an art trade?
No. The commissions are what pays for my bills, so I don't accept free art. Due to my high volume of commissions I take on at a time I don't take on art trades either.
If I share your art can I get a free or discounted commission?
No. Although I appreciate a share, i'd like you to share it because you genuinely like my art, not because you'll get something out of it. As I've said above I used my commissions to pay bills, so a share cannot help me in that regard.
Do you have an Amazon Wishlist? Do you do wishlist commissions?
Yes and sort of. Rarely i'll open up wish list commissions, which means basically you'd order and ship something from my Amazon wish list, and in exchange i'll do a custom portrait for you. My wish list can be found here. As you can see it only has work related items, or items I need.
Can you illustrate my book?
I would love to. Contact me for more info.
